I spend what probably ends up being way too much time checking in with other local bloggers each morning. Here's what's lighting up my personal blogosphere this Monday:
Coco, who I totally think is the best blogger in the state, has an awesome post about her weekend garage sale. If you're not already reading her blog ALL THE TIME, you maybe should be. Read this too.
The Alibi's Amy Dalness writes a weekly post called Webgame Wednesday, which features different online time-wasters. Make hay while you can (meaning until your boss installs the Barracuda).
Former Mayor Jim Baca caught what we missed: Add the Frontier and Golden Pride to the list of businesses we're not going to anymore. I could get over the loss of Blake's, but no more breakfast burrito #9 may kill me right off.
Okay, and I have to add this too, while I wait to hear back from Jim about the Frontier thing. A certain unnamed DCF reader has this attached to his gmail profile.

I've asked Sr. Baca to identify his source for the Frontier/Prop8 connection...

According to someone I know at Planned Parenthood, Frontier and Golden Pride are the biggest contributors to anti-choice organizations in the state, so it wouldn't surprise me if they supported Prop 8.
No way I'm boycotting Frontier! They aren't on the prop 8 donations website, but the Rainosek's are big supporters of the Republican Party according to here and here. Not sure that means anything in relation to prop 8, but it might.. Even if they did support prop 8, I am going to have to overlook it in this case. As an aside, I found out this morning that one of my close relatives supports prop 8 and I'm probably one of the only people in my family against it, and strongly at that. Shame on them!
