Have you heard of Quantum Reality? Quantum physics/mechanics, the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?" Okay, I'm gonna try to 'splain it in waywayway layman terms, because, hey, I'm a hairdresser, and what would I know of such things?
Here goes:
Everything--- everything/everybody- all that is known/unknown, seen/unseen, felt/not felt, and everything else I may have excluded, is CONNECTED. ALL ONE! It's all one gigantic energy/force field- one giant fabric of space/not space. Really unnameable.
Like it was stated in Star Wars: "The force binds us and surrounds us." "Use the force, Luke!"
So, therefore, every thought I have in my lttle head, every word I sound, makes a ripple in the fabric of the cosmos (also known as MY reality), and sets about a chain of events into action (whether I want it to or not). That's why it's sooo important to figure out exactly what the thoughts in my noggin are! Because the thoughts we think ABOUT OURSELVES are the ones that undeniably get in the way of stuff happening the way we want it to.
Also, while I'm here on the subject, let me just throw in this: The way you see yourself is exactly the way others see you. If you were lucky enough to grow up in an environment where you were told you were beautiful, smart, capable, deserving of love, etc., then most likely (unless something weren't terribly awry), you'll grow up believing those things, or at least some of them. Or, if you're like most folks I know, and did not get that message growing up, you either believe the crap (falsehoods about yourself), or you re-parent yourself as I have and re-program yourself to believe, You ARE beautiful, smart, capable, deserving of love, etc. That's why my daily (if not hourly) affirmation is, "I am radiant vitality!" For me that covers it- that affirmation gives me the boost /energy/lifeforce I need to "go and conquer my reality in this present moment."
Everyone has their own perspective/reality. Yeah, we overlap when driving on the freeway waiting in a bank line, or the grocer, but -think about it- do you really live in the same reality as a sibling living over in another state in another situation?
Think about Olympic athletes. What gets them there? Lots of practice, dedication, sacrifice (they are training while the rest of us went out on dates or the movies), support behind them, and most importantly, FAITH IN THEMSELVES TO ALWAYS DO THEIR BEST IN THEIR SPORT! And when the competition is over, and maybe they didn't win because someone else just as good had a better day that day, what do we hear them say? "I did my best, and I'm happy with that." Hello- are they beating themselves up? Usually not, because maybe they got sick, or had an injury, or simply just didn't feel "in the zone" that day to the degree that the other athlete did. But rarely do we witness an athlete at that level beating themselves up.
Just decide what/who you want to be and be that, starting right now. (And it doesn't have to be some idea from the past- you are creating in this present moment- right now!) Do some pondering and realize what your gifts are, and revel in them.
"I'm not ashamed to be a bubbly, funny person. It's just as valid as being a brooding one." Think about that. Cameron Diaz said that one. I'm with her!
Personally, I love living in a city that "has its own personality." Albuqerque is that, don't you think? I enjoy living in a place that's got a lot of tolerance, knows its quirky and REVELS IN THAT, and has interesting people, beautiful weather, lots of folks but not too many, lots of culture, and total acceptance of me being me! I can easily be in the NOW while being here because I like it so much.
One more thing to think about on this fine New Mexico day: "A truly happy person can enjoy the scenery on a detour."
Still loving you in this eternal moment.
Jean
