It's a long and sordid tale and I won't bore you with it, suffice it to say I need to find a place to get a sweet red and black racing stripe for a Corvette. Thick red, thin black, right down the center.

Just need to find a reputable, local, affordable racing stripe application company. Painted or vinyl? I have no idea, and would welcome input.

Really, don't ask. Because then I'd have to tell you.

Uh, is this supposed to match your mullet and handlebar mustache? Because it matters regarding your request. Really.

Ah come on, bore us with the sordid tale.

You'll need big hair with that Corvette.

And I would do paint instead of vinyl.

This is in no way a mullet-dependent request. It's a pretty sweet 'vette actually. Come on people, anyone know where I can get a good racing stripe?

No disrespect taken. And I agree with you on the dangers of a hack shop. Thanks for the tip.

Alexis, I would pay YOU to let me ride my bike through a paint tray and then up and over the 'vette.

Please please PLEASE?

Mullets are sweet, it takes a lot of concentration to grow one. Actually i saw a real sweet mullet this morning @ the circle k, i think that this was a mustang mullet, pretty sweet, but seeing it out of the mustang kind of spoiled it.

Alexis - any body shop would be happy to provide this service. They'd mask and paint, right on top of the original paint job. I'd guess $500.

A sign shop that specializes in vehicle wraps could do it with vinyl, too, but that will eventually get tattered and peel off, especially from bug hits in the front.

The least expensive solution would be to mask and paint it yourself with tape and rattle cans. Rustoleum works well for this.

Somewhere in distant memory a friend of a friend (really just an acquaintance) used these folks (I believe):

Try Garza and Garza up on Juan Tabo, pretty much across the street from the Dyno Edge

501 Paisano St NE
Albuquerque, NM 87123
(505) 323-2633

One of the owners I believe, has a pretty nice Corvette himself.
