"I always get my elk tag application in on time"

Is CHARLES E. KNOBLAUCH for real? He's running for Metro Court Judge and according to the Albuquerque Bar website, his statement includes:

"I always get my elk tag application in on time although don't always get my elk."

Maybe I'm just grumpy because I've spent the past 2 weeks on jury duty at said Metro Court and already have witnessed more than enough, ahem, character.
