the grower's market the used to meet at the carvan east and now meets at the old blue spruce site, has said they are not interested in moving to the fair grounds, but with mucho changes to the grounds, they might be enticed. it seems like building a nice community/ 4-H/ bern country extension service/ abq garden club facility could really work though.

Old thread, but I invite all of you to take a look at a satellite photo of Albuquerque and see how big that race track really is. Compared to anything else including Coronado it is huge. I think that it should be raised and in its place a huge gold statue of Martin Chavez that always faces the sun.

I'm sure developers will donate generously to fund the statue. Also Redflex....if made tall enough, his eyes could be redlight cameras, shooting simultaneous photos of every intersection in town.

I will support it if it is solar powered so that the laser beams coming out of the eyes and the rotating head don't create a power surge in Nob Hill.

Hey, I'm moving to that part of town next week. Just got a great deal on a house. I can tell you that the people in my new neighborhood are very excited with the possibilities. One of my clients used to be head of the neighborhood association. They are all glad that The Downs will soon be history, and hopefully all those payday loan places will go with it. So if you'll grant me a purely selfish request, I have three words... MAJOR... LEAGUE... BASEBALL!!!!! I'll be 1st online for season tickets, even if it ends up being a National League team.

Now that would be the place for the stadium. It would have parking, etc. You're a genuis. I could walk to the ball games.

Almost anything would be an improvement at the Fairgrounds. I think that 2 statues would be in order. What about the guv?
