Desperately Seeking a Stylist

I have seen the posts -- a few folks looking for stylists who are good with curly / wavy hair. Anyone have a recommendation for a salon / stylist who is good with straight hair? and color (fun color).

A bad cut shows up really well on very straight hair... and well, my gray is coming in faster than it used to! :-)

At least for those who were profoundly affected by Ehrenreich's book Nickel and Dimed. People who support Fair Trade, ethical investing, ethical jewelry, etc. might find the provision of employee health insurance a reasonable trade-off for higher fees.; ▶ Reply to This

I have resolutely stick-straight hair and she does a great job with it, much better than my mother did when she tried to perm it when I was 9 and I ended up with an Afro. (Yes there are pictures, no, no one will EVER see them). She is amazing - really listens to what you want, how much maintenance you want to deal with, etc. - and also does great color if you're interested in that.; ▶ Reply to This

rachel at studio red is fantastic and keeps her own schedule, which means she often works hours that most salons do not. her number is 505-489-3460.
