Happenings at Menaul and 2nd this morning
Does anyone have any info about something going on at Menaul and 2nd St around 11am this morning. We were driving from home to our shop and the streets were closed, SWAT with their heavy armored truck were out, there was a parked city bus, and an extraordinary number of regular squad cars.
I'm hoping that it was a movie filming or something, as two big incidents in a couple days at that intersection doesn't sound so good to me. I checked all the local media outlets and they don't seem to have any info.

They were milling about at 6:45AM when I went by... It didn't look like anything diabolical was going on...

There was a training conference with SWAT folks from all over the south west. Most of them were staying at the Hyatt. No need to panic.

Thank for the info! Two bad happenings near our house in a week would be a bit much. It did look a bit like they were filming Speed 3 .

WOW that's a pleasant change... there seem to be irregular road blocks. I used to drive through there on evenings, but all too often had to detour 2nd or 4th b/c the cops were looking for someone with a gun.
