Gus has been at the shelter for most of his puppy life-since June! This is incredibly long for a good-hearted young dog to be isolated and not know what family life is like. Too long not to be able to take neighborhood walks, go to a dog park, get tummy rubs, and roll in grass. Gus is just a little guy at 34 lbs., and is the BEST doggie playmate!

He has a wonderful temperament and plays fantastic with puppies and bigger dogs. The only thing we can think of is that he’s passed up because he is black, and is beyond the ah! puppy-cute stage, but too young to be an experienced adult. Please pass this on to anyone you know who might have a young dog who loves to play and please open your heart and home… he needs to know what life can REALLY be like as a pet!
