Duke City Fix

Life, food, events, and community in Albuquerque, NM

Okay, so here's the deal: I keep needing to have lunch meetings with various people in locations that have wifi.

I have enjoyed, in the past, the ease of doing them at Flying Star. But I've gotta say it -- I need a little variety in my diet or I'll go MAD. I've already spent 2 hours 4.5 hours today in the downtown branch, plus another one at Nob Hill (love them, love the food, am truly eating and drinking and not just squatting).

Where else can I go, assuming that "the company" is paying (meaning not me) and so it would be nice to eat someplace reasonably nice -- Slate Street-ish?

What do you recommend??

I'm sitting in Relish on Menaul right now, enjoying a Cubano sandwich and free WiFi. They have a great connection that will probably cover the Pocoso Grill next door and the Vietnamese Restaurant a few doors down (which probably gets the Flying Star signal too). The folks at Relish said "Come hang out here! You can move tables around and are welcome to hang out. We are very friendly, and we cater too." They also have a lot of power outlets, which can sometimes be hard to find too.

Oh yeah, they also said "We looooove Sophie. While anyone is welcome to come and hang out, please tell Sophie to move her business here."

Napoli--north of Claremont on Carlisle--has a pleasant array of coffee, comestibles, squooshy armchairs, a fireplace, & wi-fi.
