The Albuquerque Area Professional Organizers (AAPO) present Get Organized Month 2008 Recycle-A-Thon on Saturday, January 26, 2008. The public can get a head start on becoming more organized in 2008 by decluttering their homes and offices of recyclables at no cost. The event is free and an effort to highlight Get Organized Month, an annual January event sponsored by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) dedicated to raising the awareness of the benefits of organization and of hiring a professional organizer. The event is co-sponsored by the City of Albuquerque, Shred-It, Junk Pros, New Mexico Clean and Beautiful, and Toss No Mas.

Just a reminder, this event is a week from Saturday.

Do you think they would take a 10 year old laptop? It doesn't work anymore b/c it's too slow to run any new programs, but I need to get rid of it somewhere....

As the info says, no e-waste is accepted. Check out the Web Geeks group for info on e-waste.

Oh, i was imagining E-waste to mean organic materials. Your explanation makes a lot more sense!

They tore up the KMart parking lot (again) and removed the recycling bins. Where did the bins go are they coming back next week? I have a trunk full of crap and nowhere to put it.

Have no fear! The bins will be replaced at 6 am on Saturday, in plenty of time for the event. Bring your recyclables and the group will be happy to take them.

Thank god! I'm in the same boat. The recycling bin is getting completely out of control! I'm really looking forward to getting rid of a bunch of stuff tomorrow.

OK... so I missed the recylemathan, and the bins are gone again. Where have they gone?

Reply to This

I imagine they are gone until the parking lot paving is done, yes? Check www.cabq.gov for info on recycling bin locations.
