I just got yet another call from the Obama campaign, but still didn't find out where and when I can vote early. How can I find out?

Oscillation 2008 Review

Oscillation 2008 came to a close this weekend, and left me with the usual feeling of some postpartum depression that usually comes with doing something huge and then seeing it finish up. While this was the most challenging Oscillation in years, it was also my favorite, I’d have to say. I arrived at the Cell Theatre around 1 on friday, along with Markus, our sound master. I had already been to two Walmarts earlier, and been loading gear out into my car for the whole morning. Upon getting into th… Continue

Why Not 10 Days Ago?

I'm puzzled that this was announced today (Tues, 10/14). The trail was open 10 days ago (or more) and was very convenient for getting to Balloon Fiesta. Why wasn't it announced before Fiesta?

Trail now goes from UNM to Alameda Written by Nancy Tipton for the Albuquerque Journal, last updated Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 12:01:43 An addition to Albuquerq…

Fiamma Fumana at the Cooperage

I had the pleasure Saturday night of attending an AMP concert at the Cooperage. The performing group was Fiamma Fumana from Italy. There music would be hard to label and that is a good thing. There cd loaded as Pop music and they seemed to have a world music flair. The instrumentation from the group was vocal, accordian, drums, bagpipe and dj. Occasionally the accordian player would play guitar and the bagpipe player would perform on Fife, there was constant wonderful vocal harmonies. The first… Continue

Sundstrom prints three color image in record time (with assistance)

During Mary Sundstrom’s opening she demonstrated her layered monotype and gravure techniques with a finished print in 20 minutes! Extremely fast, even for the trained printer. Mary’s printing assistant, Tanya Landin, helped by running the plates through the press to get this accomplished so quickly.

No alcohol on Sundays?!

Since California is a blue state ran by do-gooder liberals who ban so-called "assault weapons", it's a little shocking to discover something where NM outdoes those dorks, but here it is: apparently Costco sells wine on Sundays starting at noon only (and that is considered an exception from the law banning Sunday sales period). Go go nanny state government, amaze the newcomers.
