Have you seen what happens when you google "city website", with or without the quotes?

Los Angeles comes up first.....

On a related note, if you click through to everyone else's site, they all look like crap. Nice work, Ms. Foster.

Actually, NOLA's is sort of okay, but ABQ's still dominates.

The other ABQ website definitely worth a nod is Maresa Thompson's ACVB site:

That's some beautiful work, too!

It takes quite a bit of work to:

a) build a website that's as functional as our city's is (take a gander at the horrorshows on parade from Los Angeles, San Diego, etc).

b) build a website that ranks as well as ours does on google (hi -- those other cities are way bigger than we are -- their traffic must be monstrous).

CF said this somewhere else on this site -- good web (like, IMO, the Fix) doesn't happen by accident -- it's the result of a ton of work, research, attention to the data, etc. Nice job, CABQ web team!

I moved to this city just a few weeks ago... So far, it has been very useful when searching for homes, finding schools, and neighborhood associations. I even paid my water bill today through the site! It really is nice. (I have it book marked).
