More opprotunities for playwrights! Also, if you happen to be a Native American interested in acting, it probably wouldn't hurt to contact Ollie Reed (the festival producer) about them needing native actors to read these scripts submitted in August!
The deadline is June 23rd, so get crackin'!

TWO WORLDS SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Two Worlds is a festival of Native American theater and film set to take place at the VSA North Fourth Art Center on the weekends of Aug. 15-16 and 22-23. The purpose is to present and develop new works by emerging and established American Indian playwrights and filmmakers.
The festival’s theme refers to the duality of the contemporary American Indian experience which is often reflected in the conflict between the modern vs. the traditional, the city vs. the reservation, the earthly vs. the spiritual. The tension and drama created by these divisions is a rich source of inspiration for many of today’s Native storytellers
On Aug. 15 and 16, the festival will feature staged readings of three new plays that fit the concept of “Two Worlds.” These plays will be selected from those submitted by Native American playwrights from throughout the country. The playwrights of the three selected works will be brought to Albuquerque a week prior to the performances where they will be paired with a mentor to revise, refine and prepare the play for the reading. One of the three plays will be chosen for a full production during the 2009 Two Worlds festival.
On Aug. 22 and 23, the festival will screen short and feature-length movies by Native American filmmakers. A 10-minute film, based on the festival theme and developed by members of a New Mexico Native community, with the help of professional mentors and high-tech equipment, will premiere on Aug. 23.
Those interested in taking part in the 10-minute film project should contact festival coordinator Ollie Reed Jr. at 505-890-0756 or oreedjr@gmail.com
Guidelines for the submission of plays to the festival are –
