OK, I'm grateful for the rain, BUT the crescent Moon, Regulus, Mars, and Saturn are dancing in the western sky this week. The best alignment is Saturday evening, July 5. If the western sky clears by sunset, check it out.
Did anyone have any luck last night (July 5) when they were lined up in a row? I spotted all four using binoculars (it was still twilight), but could only see the Moon and Saturn naked-eye before the @#$%^& clouds moved in! Drat. Just needed it to get a little bit darker. Nothing beats naked-eye for the drama of this sort of alignment. I was south of ABQ, so wondered if anyone in the city had a clear sky for the alignment.
