Has anybody noticed that the former Rockin' Bills space in Nob Hill is now sporting a sign for a Thomas Kinkade Signature Gallery.

Looks like they are renovating the space now.

While it's nice to see one of the empty shops filled, I'd rather see this drek open in ABQ Uptown or Coranado than in Nob Hill.

wow, i have a hard time believing that location suits his demographic at all.
i can hope that perhaps the sign is, in itself, a performance art project by someone doing a little pranking? probably not here though...

Nob Hill, you have arrived...

This makes me so very sad. Even the one at Cottonwood closed down awhile back. I had hoped the Thomas Kinkade fad had died out by now...

Retailers don't care how precious you think Nob Hill is. If it fits their statistical demographic model that's all they care about. However, if this shop stays in business and Mariposa has to close I will collapse into a fetal ball of tears.

And I will join you...

Thanks for your support....it can't hurt us, it just can't

And it really wouldn't. People that buy TK art wouldn't be Mariposa customers, anyhow. And people who are Mariposa customers will have the same laugh we all are about the TK place.

About like if a new McDonalds opened in the area-- Il Vicino and La Provence wouldn't exactly go under...

LOL, just looked at the website. Does ANYONE still buy this kind of crap? We can only hope it dies a quick death. But you never know.....Anyone who buys ANYTHING from this store should be shot. ASAP

In honor of America's worst artist: some great parodies.

I actually like the volcano, but I'm weird. Probably titled "Harry Truman's Last Moments."

Ugh! That's horrible. I do love what artists like Banksy have done with these landscape paintings by making them more deranged and realistic as andrew also pointed out.
