Last month, I picked up a copy of New Mexico WOMAN magazine, and discovered my recipe for Cheeseburger Soup on page 32. They printed it without my permission, and credited it to their columnist, Beth Donahue.
I found it under this headline, "Recipes…

We have been looking at all sorts of things online over the last few nights and getting really excited - like kids before a vacation. We're finding all sorts of new things to do and see. And it will be nice living at Grandma's house. Yes, nothing has been upgraded since 1963 when it was built but going up the hill on Carlisle and past the turn off for Ridgecrest drive has always reminded of coming home.
Most importantly we plan on having a life. That probably sounds strange but our lifestyles out in California revolve around work if you're going to cover all of the bills and cost of living out here. If not, you have plenty of free time (ha ha) as long as you go home to a box underneath some overpass.
It was COLD and rainy the entire time we were there. It even snowed a little. We didn't see the sun until we were heading to the airport that following Tuesday morning. We were so glad to get back to 'Burque! Now I know why we love to call this city/state home! :o)
Just saw your comment about the Tribune. I'm the paper's politics and business reporter, but I'm also a Minnesota native. I actually have a copy of the final edition of the Minneapolis Star -- collecting final editions has become sort of a morbid habit of mine.
Regardless, it's good to see more Minnesotans around here.
Go, girl!!
I was born & raised in Minnesota, so I do go back a lot but haven't been a permanent resident since 1998 or so. How about yourself?
