while I love museum's I'm afraid I'm stuck indoors in a bland old office doing the M-F drudgery. Hope you have fun!!

I think Paula's idea of the Albuquerque museum is a good one. Maybe we could meet there next Wednesday around 10 AM. Any takers? I have never been there. Does anyone know if they allow photography there?

Hi Kristy, finally catching up on e-mails. Been in the process of moving and have no internet at home yet. I'm a photographer and a member of the Flickr Abq/Santa Fe group which gets together at least once a month for a photo outing. http://www.flickr.com/groups/abq_sf_meetup/

I am also the founder/organizer of the ABQ ATC group and we get together on the 2nd Sat. of every month to trade our ATC creations. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/abq_arttradingcards

Welcome to the zany world of Querqueville!

Hey Kirsty...nice idea on artist get togethers. I'm not much of a sketcher, but would be interested get togethers to do art! The VERB collective (they have a page on this site) does (or used to do) some sort of art-sketching-nature group too, you may want to check them out.

Hi Kirsty! I like the idea of field trips out to sketch, photo, etc. but I'm wondering if we could do something inside until it gets a little warmer! Maybe we could meet at the Albuquerque Museum or something? The first Wed. of every month is free for NM residents. I'm a wimp about the cold, sorry! :)

Hey Kirsty! I love your idea of artist meet-ups. I paint acrylics and shoot digital photos. I need to practice sketching - it's been too long. Anyway, whatever you dream up - count me in!

Hi Kirsty! Welcome to Albuquerque and the Art in ABQ group! I too am new to this area -relatively. I moved here two years ago, but didn't really hook up with any art groups until I rented a studio at the Factory of 5th. Let me know if you get a "field trip" put together - sounds like a great idea!
