In addition, it was affordable and of the 15 places it was the most clean despite the dog feces in the courtyard and indoor garden. For new people to Albuquerque, it is quite a shock when people show you dirty homes for $1,250/month. And even if I looked today on Craiglist (and I have been)--I'm not sure I could find much better if I was to rent a house on my own.
