Where I Live:
Albuquerque-the center of the Universe!
About Me:
I'm a hairstylist with lots of creative passion- it's not a job- I love creating hair and having people feel better when they leave my chair! I like to laugh and have fun while I work. I'm also a snowboarder, inline skater, cyclist, hiker, climber, backpacker-yeah, I love the outdoors. I love my man, I love my spiritual community in NE area.
Favorite Thing(s) About Albuquerque:
The variety of lifestyles/laid back people, the weather, the acceptance and tolerance of everyone-everyone's cool with everyone else. Also the food (my favorites being Crazy Fish Sushi in Nob Hill, Rudy's BBQ, and Zea's, and Flying Star for dessert and to hang out w/my Blackberry or book), the radio stations, pretty much everything about this place.
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
What I'm Reading:
Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life by Wayne Dyer
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle
Celebrate Yourself by Eric Butterworth
What I'm Listening To:
Right now I'm into old disco station 101.7- love it! Good driving music.
also eclectic taste in music.

peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. ---unknown

MAKE IT HAPPEN NOW!!!

Hello Beautiful People! I hope you are feeling as fabulous as me on this fine day in the Duke City, the Center of the Universe. Well, you KNOW it is, because, well; we're here, Silly! In case you've been living in a cave on the set of Lost, maybe you've missed hearing about Oprah's latest bookclub installment, A New Earth, by Eckhart Tolle. A good read. His discussion on ego is interesting and I think right on the mark. Most humans' egos are what get them in trouble. Deflating the ego, or the at… Continue

Thoughts are stll things, more on that.....

Have you heard of Quantum Reality? Quantum physics/mechanics, the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?" Okay, I'm gonna try to 'splain it in waywayway layman terms, because, hey, I'm a hairdresser, and what would I know of such things? Here goes: Everything--- everything/everybody- all that is known/unknown, seen/unseen, felt/not felt, and everything else I may have excluded, is CONNECTED. ALL ONE! It's all one gigantic energy/force field- one giant fabric of space/not space. Really unnameab… Continue

thoughts are things, be careful what you think!

You've heard 'thoughts are things', right? It's true- just become aware enough to really know what's going on inside your skull. That's the challenge. One way to monitor what's going on in your skull is look at how you feel emotionally, your state of health, and what's happening in your life. I used to live in a place I didn't really care for, and got tired of thinking "I don't really like it here." Life is short, so I changed my locale, and now here in Quirky Burque, I've found a true home- a p… Continue

Hi again Jean,
I was reading the great review posted by Joey and was thinking, "Jean sounds familiar", then I remember commenting on one of your previous posts and I have "I accept myself unconditionally right now!" posted on my monitor at work and in my calendar. I love positive people and now I find out you cut hair too!

I've been wanting to cut my long, very thick and kinky hair but don't want a high maintinance/have to blow dry style. What do you think? Can you do something with my thick and kinky hair that is wash and wear and low maintinance? Silly me, I know you can and it is only hair, so I'll be calling.
