Albuquerque Supports Married Gay Couples

Thousands of couples woke up today no longer legally married... they are grieving in the midst of real happiness.. I am asking DCFers and others to decorate your car ala post-wedding festivities: streamers, balloons plus a sign that says "My Friends are Still Married". My friends Liz and Henae are out lesbian teachers in Phoenix who were married in CA in July; Today at lunch their kids in GSA are decorating their car just this way... Join us.

Don't fret too much about Prop 8. Despite the fact that the voters approved it, it still has to pass Judicial Review, where it is highly likely that it will be thrown out as unconstitutional. I couldn't post this in Queer Albuquerque without joining the group, but perhaps you could copy-paste it for me.

WOW is right! Of course, I hung out at Bloomers. How strange is that? I went to school in the late 80's. (Hard to believe) One of my best friends was Billy Hileman. Do you know him? I moved to Philly when I graduated but my gf lived in PGH so I did the commute for about a year. I still love spending time there though the town feels really diff. When did you move out here?

Wow. Your knowledge of religion is positively encylopedic. My husband has a BA in philosophy and religion. I never, ever try to argue with him re: the bible and I certainly wouldn't with you.
That "posting" guy is kinda icky. I just wanted to know if he would love you as he was instructed do to by JC. His answer was kinda lame.

Hey you're from pgh? I went to school there, Chatham College. It is one of my favorite places on the planet. Did you grow up there? I too volunteered for the PP there in East Liberty, if I remember correctly. Maybe it wason Liberty Ave.. It's been a few years.

Go Herd! I love Huntington, I only went to Marshall for one semester, then started working in my chosen career and droped out. I went back to Concord to finish up my degree, but that is another story. If I were to move back to WV I would chose Huntington as the place to hang my hat.

I was driving a block from my house a couple of years ago and saw a guy decked out in WVU stuff. Turns out he grew up in Mullens, not far from my hometown of Bluefield. And yet we had to move to Albuquerque to become friends who live about a block away.

I am sure there are more of us West Virginians out here, and it always makes me happy to find another one.
