After work ride report

After work, Colin and I met at PJ's Triumph/Ducati motorcycle dealership, where they tried to lock us in and make us buy new sportbikes before they closed. We didn't fall for that old trick. But when they told… Continue

Getting away with shit

The down side of being a middle-aged, white female is that you are invisible. Clerks step on your foot on their way to help younger customers. Nobody suspects or accuses you of doing anything exciting or illicit. You become your own mom. So I let it work for me. When you're stereotype… Continue

Bikin' in the North Valley (or "Jill, the pathetic loser")

My significant others left Thursday morning, driving to Pittsburgh. A few hours later I am damsel in distress who can't handle simple mechanical issues with my motorcycle, right before a weekend plan to ride to Carrizozo. There is a reason why I never learn - because there is always a, uh, knight arou… Continue

The Blues Concert was pretty good. The music was great and my brother got to say hi to his old guitar instructor, Stan Hirsch. The El Rey does need to tier their audience seating a bit better though. I can handle basic, but it was hard to see the stage due to the seating being flat, especially in the balcony.

I'm going to delete my blog post titled "Taking the High Road" from my profile page. Seems to be time to put that behind me and move on. Just letting you know in case you want to archive your comment(s). I'll wait a few days to give you time.

I think something could be arranged! We just got a Toyota Matrix so you would be one of the first to ride in it. I was thinking it would be good to get there a bit early, say about 6:30 or so. Neither Merrilou or I have to work Saturday. How late can you stay?

Are you going to the Dave Denny Memorial Concert this Friday night? Merrilou and I are looking forward to it. Adelita said she was going and I'm hoping to finally meet her.

Jill thanks so much for posting Dave Denny's obituary. Would you please put it into a blog, if you have time. I'd love to feature it on the main page. Dave was such an important member of the community, he should be honored. Thanks. Lita

JMG...... thank you for the comments about the picture on the RoadTripper Group. Unfortunately, I didn't take it. I stole it off the Flickr site after doing a brief search. Buggs (a regular Fix guy) takes some of the most wonderful pics of our state's landscapes.

I hope you will contribute some stories to the group. My first story will be on my Christmas trip out to NM (from California) before we move out permanently this coming January. There is a wonderful restaurant in a great hotel in Winslow! Yep, I said Winslow, AZ. (I hope to have the story posted in late December). Then after that Pam and I plan on exploring ABQ and everything around it. It's almost like landing in the new world - I can't wait!!! VIVA NUEVO MEXICO!

Hey Jill. I have been working for some local candidates, as well. I am part of Labor 2008. It is a consolidated effort from Union folk.
I am walking for O'Neill in the n. valley on Thursday. We have worked in several state senate and house races.
Solid Obama ( or McCain, for that matter) should be taken off of the call lists. That is the point of keeping data on the races. Time should not be wasted on either of those groups. The solid Obama people should just get a reminder call to make sure that they vote. Certainly not 5 calls in one day.
