So, I went up to the City Different today for work stuff, and in my short time there I made two observations: 1. A teryaki chicken bowl thing costs twice as much; and 2. I don't know what the hell's going around this little burg of ours, but it hit me. Twice.

The first time was a couple of weeks ago. Felt like someone heavy was sitting on my chest, even while I was upright (thus making said sensation completely illogical - but I digress). A hot shower, proper hydration, and voila! I was good to go.

Just got back from the Two Fools tavern. 1/4 mile walk to and fro, on a freezing November evening. Nice night for a nightcap.
There's something to be said for a nice single malt on a cold night. I guess I can understand why Saint Bernards carried a keg of the good stuff to lost and frozen alpine travelers. It really does serve to warm one up from the inside.
