Where I Live:
LA
About Me:
I'm a visual effects artist living in Los Angeles, scheduled to relocate to ABQ in early fall.

Reading is my passion. If I won the lottery I would quit my job and become a fulltime bibliophile.

When I'm not reading I hang with my husband, our dog and our four ornery cats.

Nikki,

If you don't mind I have some questions about the film industry. Please drop me a line at dckitt@yahoo.com with Nikki or Duke City Fix in the subject line (my spam filter gets a little nutty sometimes).

Thanks,
Chris

Nikki If you are here and looking for interesting place to stay in the north valley ck out lospoblanos.com Not cheap but so beautiful. While you are on their website take a look at other stuff they have to offer. Lavender fields, organic gardens. Dont worry its right in town, not boondocks. Its about 15 min from downtown. Its hard for people coming from other cities to get used to the fact, that you can be in the city, and see horses, chickens, burros etc. Its one of the cool thing about albuquerque. I think you are going to like it here, that is if you are ready for a change. I have known some people that have come here for visit from LA, just shake their heads.

Posted this under your "Nukes" discussion but figured I would drop it in here.

On Februray 2nd of this year the State Supreme Court denied an appeal to a decision allowing Sandia National Labs to cover waste at the landfill.

The State Environment Department ruled three years ago that digging it up would be risker than leaving it alone. Needless to say a Citizens Group challenged that ruling because of concerns the ground water might become contaminated, but the State Supreme Court did not see it that way.

Personally I am not thrilled with this, but hopefully the Environment Department and the State Supreme Court are correct.
